Hi there, my name is Jaron Brunner and I am a 3L here at Mizzou. I was born in Hollywood, California in the same hospital as my dad. I have lived in Los Angeles my entire life, and I loved every minute of it. I did my undergraduate studies in Computer Science at the University of California, Riverside. After I graduated I took a year off and worked in a law firm in Santa Monica in order to determine if law school was for me.
Once I made the decision that law school was where a wanted to be I needed to pick a school. I found Mizzou by shear coincidence, but I knew it was the right school for me almost instantaneously. I attended the Counsel on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) summer institute in 2007, which luckily was hosted by Mizzou. I fell in love with the faculty and staff, everyone here is extremely nice. The faculty truly want everyone to succeed, along with that everyone here is more than happy to help students with anything they need.
The city of Columbia has been just as welcoming as the school. Coming from a big city I was concerned that Columbia could not provide the lifestyle I was used to, but that is simply not the case. When I am not doing homework or studying there is always something to do in Columbia, not to mention the football games. The Rec Center at the school is amazing and downtown is a lot of fun. I truly believe I am lucky to be here.
