The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.
Hi! My name is Kelly Collins and I am a 1L from Kansas City, Mo. I went to Mizzou for my undergrad and I just graduated this past May with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management. I was a part of a social Greek sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. I was also a member of a national honors fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi. As an undergrad, I mentored at a local elementary school and volunteered with the Special Olympics as a swim coach. I also worked at a local law firm.
I was originally hesitant to go to Mizzou for law school. I didn’t want to get stuck in a rut or not branch out and meet new people. I can confidently say that neither of those things have happened since starting law school. The tour of the law school was what caused me to be confident that this was where I needed to be. Everyone made me feel comfortable and I left here with answers to questions I never even thought of. Mizzou is affordable and is just a great community I am lucky to still be a part of.
Please email me if you have any questions about Mizzou or Columbia.
