School of Law Ambassador

Andrew Felker, 3L

Hi, I'm Andrew.  I hail from Sikeston, a town in the bootheel of Missouri.   I came to Mizzou many moons ago - after graduating from high school in 1998.  After a year of classes, I left for the Washington, D.C./Maryland area to serve as a missionary for two years.  After returning, I continued my studies here and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

I am married and have two little girls.  They have been a great support throughout school and a welcome diversion from my studies.  Along with the Ambassadors, I am a member of the student chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.

Initially, I didn't think I'd stay at Mizzou for my legal education, and I actively pursued other schools during my first round of applications.  When things didn't pan out, we looked here.  I had been working in Jefferson City for the Communications Department of the Missouri House of Representatives and staying in Missouri--and in Columbia, in particular--became more and more attractive.  This is a great town to live whether you come alone or with family.

Best of luck in looking into MU and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
