The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.

Hi there, my name is Jamihlia Johnson. I am from Durham, NC. The basketball capital of the world! However, I am no Duke fan, but a Tarheel having graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. I graduated with degrees in International Studies and Spanish, traveled, and worked in D.C. as a public international paralegal.
I decided to attend law school my junior year of college, but I desired work experience before coming straight after undergrad. I am happy to say that Mizzou is the perfect fit for me! Unlike many state universities, the law school has the feel and size of a small school with the excellent benefits of a large one. The individualized attention, perfect study environment, top dispute resolution program which allows me to explore international arbitration, and most importantly the family feel directed me to choose MIzzou. Everyone is here to help each student succeed and perform at the highest level possible.
Being someone who is not from Columbia, the adjustment here has been delightful! Columbia is probably the friendliest city I know! There is always something to do downtown, or through the main campus’s activities.
Please email and ask questions! I know choosing a law school can be a long and arduous one, and so I am eager to help whoever is interested in coming to Mizzou with positive insight on this amazing community!
