I am originally from a small town in southeast Missouri. After graduating from college, I completed an internship with the Missouri Senate through a program at my undergraduate university. I worked for couple of years in the admissions office at a medical school doing recruitment. My plan had always been to attend law school and the timing just seemed right at this point.
I chose Mizzou for law school for several reasons. Being from Missouri, I was aware of the great reputation of the program in the state. The University has an expansive network of alumni who seem more than satisfied with the education they received here. What made the ultimate decision for me, though, was visiting the school. I was able to talk to students, faculty, and the admissions staff and get a feel for what being a student here was like.
While law school is a challenge, it is great to attend a school where the students, faculty, and staff support you. The faculty here are well regarded in their fields and still willing to take the time to meet with students and answer any questions they have. The staff really cares about making sure that the students enjoy their time here and have what they need to succeed. While law school is a competitive environment, my classmates are always willing help each other. There seems to be a feeling that we are all in this together and do our best to support each other.
