Hi! My name is Andrew Stashefsky and I am a 3L at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
I decided to attend MU Law for three different reasons: the strength of its academic program, its affordable price, and the emphasis the school places on its community.
After successfully completing my first (and second) year of law school, all three of these reasons were proven correct. The law school has many professors who are nationally recognized in their respective fields, and all of the professors demonstrate a sincere passion for teaching law. MU Law is also one of the most affordable law schools in the country. Most importantly, though, is the strength of the community; MU law offers a competitive academic environment tempered by reasonableness and professionalism. It is truly a collective effort at MU Law. You will form close relationships with many of your classmates, and most anyone is willing to take time out of their day to help you understand a concept you’re not understanding, or talk to you about a difficulty you’re facing outside of the classroom.
A little bit about me: I graduated from Truman State University in Spring of 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and a Minor in Political Science. While at Truman, I was heavily involved with both the Theatre Department and the University Writing Center. I studied abroad in Bangalore, India in the Spring of 2009, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about either law school in general, or MU Law specifically.
