Hi! My name is Luke Weissler and I am originally from Springfield, Missouri.   I attended St. Louis University and graduated with a degree in accounting in 2008.  During my senior year at SLU, I knew I wanted to go to law school, but I also had the desire to take some time before continuing with my education to make a difference for others.  So, I applied to become a corps member with Teach for America and I spent the next two years teaching sixth grade math on the boarder in south Texas.

While trying to decide where to attend law school, I visited the MU campus, spoke with students and faculty, and instantly loved the feeling that I got while I was here.  It was obvious that the students were extremely supportive of each other and that the professors made themselves available to help students in any way they could.  I was also really encouraged by the expansive alumni base throughout Missouri, and I didn’t mind the idea of coming out of law school with substantially less debt than I would at some other universities.
