Goddard Appointed to Top Advancement Position at University of Central Missouri

Courtney E. Goddard, ’00, became the University of Central Missouri’s vice president for advancement and external engagement and the executive director of the UCM Foundation effective March 1, 2019. Goddard joined UCM in July 2018 as associate vice president of advancement and director of advancement services.

Goddard has nearly 20 years of experience in development/fundraising in higher education, arts and culture, social services and in working with non-profit organizations. Before joining UCM in 2018, she worked for Park University in Parkville, Mo., for 11 years.  She was part of the university president’ executive staff and served as the chief legal officer in all employment, regulatory and compliance matters, and provided legal counsel to all academic and administrative units.

Throughout her successful professional career, Goddard has garnered numerous awards and honors. Most recently, these include selection as a Kansas City Business Journal 2014 NextGen Leader, 2014 Ingram’s Magazine Rising Star of Philanthropy, 2015 KC Magazine Influential Women in Business KC, and Ingram’s “40 Under 40” Class of 2012.
