There are winners and losers when it comes to stakeholders involved in Transportation Network Companies (TNC) like Uber. Consumers seem to benefit the most while drivers are both benefited and harmed, depending on what a specific driver wants, from a TNC. Taxi services have suffered a devastating blow. As a result of these different stakeholders and their relative positions, TNCs face new regulation by local governments, partly to replace the old regime of taxi medallions and partly to even the playing field.
