We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting Petitions for Membership to serve on the 2012-2013 MU Law Board of Advocates! Membership is open to all current 2Ls and selection will be based upon your completion of the petition and participation in the interview process. Please fill out the questions both thoroughly and concisely (note that we will not accept paper copies of your petition). The current board will review your petitions and also hold interviews to select the new board. For more information about each position, please review the BOA Bylaws, and be sure to speak with those who currently hold the position to understand what the responsibilities entail.
- Petitions are due on or before Monday, March 26, 2012, at 11:59pm.
- This Petition is for current 2Ls only. 1Ls will have a chance to be a part of the Board of Advocates by submitting a Petition for Candidacy, which will be available after 1L Moot Court.
Once we know how many people are interested in running, we will post a sign up sheet to the BOA TWEN page to schedule interviews.
The interview process will take place during the first week of April. Interviews will last between 15-20 minutes. Each person will be allowed an opening statement to last no more than five minutes, to explain the position(s) for which he or she is applying and any relevant skills or experiences that he or she possesses. Afterwards, there will be a question and answer session with the current board.
We look forward to reading your responses and seeing you during the interview process, and we appreciate your service to the BOA.
If you may have any questions, please contact BOA Chair Chirag Shah at email@example.com or (262) 573-5603.
