Mizzou Arbitration Success at Nationals

The Mizzou Law Arbitration teams had an extraordinary showing at the ABA National Arbitration Competition. Both Mizzou teams advanced to the championship round. This was the fifth consecutive year that teams from Mizzou Law have competed in the ABA Arbitration National Championship and the first time teams from Mizzou Law have finished in first and second place in a national tournament. The Client Counseling Competition simulates an initial legal consultation between two attorneys and a prospective client. Two-member teams of students acting as attorneys interview the client and provide a preliminary assessment of the client’s case. The Board of Advocates and the Tax Law Society, at the University of Missouri School of Law, created the Transactional Law Competition to provide students an opportunity to develop transactional law skills through practical experience.
