National Trial Team Success!

For the first time in Mizzou Law history, Mizzou advanced to the quarterfinals of the National Trial Competition sponsored by the Texas Young Lawyers Association in Dallas, Texas. There are over 300 mock teams that compete in the nation. Mizzou won their Regional Trial Competition in February 2016. The team then advanced to the National Trial Competition along with 27 other teams. While at Nationals, Mizzou was named Top 8 in the Nation! Intra-School Mock Trial Competition

The Board of Advocates is excited to announce its annual Intra-School Mock Trial Competition! We will be hosting an informational meeting on Monday, February 8 at 1 pm in room 6. The actual competition will take place February 22nd – 25th. This is the last all-school competition BOA will host. Teams will consist of four (4) members. No more than two (2) of those members can be a member that has competed in the past on either Mizzou Law’s competitive trial teams (Thurgood, TYLA, Labor and Employment, or AG’s Cup) or arbitration team. If your team has limited experience, you have the option to be assigned a 3L who will serve as mentor/coach. If you do not have a team in mind, you can sign up as an individual and will be placed with other individuals who are also looking for a team to join. Sign-ups will be posted today, February 1st outside the BOA office. Make sure you denote whether you opt in for a mentor/coach or not. Space is limited as we only have room for 12 teams.
