Congratulations to the 2014 Transactional Law Competition Winners!!

The Board of Advocates and the Tax Law Society, at the University of Missouri School of Law, created the Transactional Law Competition to provide students an opportunity to develop transactional law skills through practical experience. Teams competing in the Transactional Law competition consist of either two or three students who work cooperatively to resolve a transactional law “problem.” The problem has been adapted from a real life fact pattern.  Each team creates a proposal before the competition that they believe best handles the issues in the problem and present that proposal to the judges during the competition. This year’s Transactional Law competition was a huge success thanks to BOA’s collaboration with TLS and the willingness of attorneys and students to volunteer their time to help with the event. The Board of Advocates and the Tax & Transactional Law Society congratulate the winners of the 2014 Transactional Law Competition:Winners:Angela Kennedy, Cory Lee, & Ryan UlrichRunners-Up:Sarah Crawford, Michael Donnel, & Bekah Keller Check out some photographs from of the event...
