1L Moot Court

Required for, and open only to 1L students, the 1L Moot Court competition is collaboration between the BOA and the Legal Research and Writing Department. First year students write an appellate brief in conjunction with their research and writing class and then compete in oral arguments based upon their briefs.

Sign up sheets are in front of the BOA office. The competition runs Tuesday (April 10th), Thursday (April 12th), Friday (April 13th) all from 7pm-11pm and then Monday (April 16th) from 7pm-10pm.
