Open to all law students, the Mediation Competition simulates a form of alternative dispute resolution where attorneys and clients negotiate to reach an agreement. For the Competition, students strive to achieve the best outcome for their client, while working cooperatively to arrive at a resolution beneficial to all parties. The competition provides students an opportunity to develop interest-based problem solving skills through oral advocacy. Lawyers and judges provide competitors feedback regarding their performance.
