Event Description : Are you a 2L interested in applying to judicial clerkships after graduation? Are you a 1L who wants to learn about the process for future applications? Now through the end of the summer is the main time during which applications are considered by state and federal judges for clerkships beginning in August 2014. Don't miss this event, co-sponsored by the American Constitution Society and the Federalist Society. Lunch will be provided!
Professors Erin Hawley and Ben Trachtenberg will discuss the general hiring processes, including types of clerkships and general qualifications for different levels of clerkships.
Additionally, we will provide a timeline for applying to state and federal clerkships and information about OSCAR, the system used for applying to some federal judicial clerkships.
Finally, we will provide information we have gathered regarding specific Missouri judges' hiring preferences.
