LYNN MALLEY GIVES PROGRAMS ON MILITARY FAMILIES AND VETERANS ISSUES
In September, Lynn Malley (JD '84, LLM '03) presented a teleseminar for the Family Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution titled “Military Families: How Are They Faring In This Time Of Repeated Deployment? What Can Mediators Do To Help?”. In October, she spoke in Washington, DC, at the Conference on Veterans and Higher Education, that was sponsored by College Educators for Veterans in Higher Education and the Servicemember Opportunity Colleges. This talk was about the distinctions between the educational needs of National Guard and Reserve members and active-duty service members. Lynn is co-moderating an online conversation about veterans issues during Cyberweek, which is this week.
PAULA YOUNG GIVES PROGRAMS ON MEDIATOR ETHICS AT TENNESSEE ADR COMMISSION TRAINING
Paula Young (LL.M. '03) recently presented two programs on mediator ethics at the Tennessee Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission's 7th Annual Advanced Mediation Training, “Something for Everyone: Keys for Continued Success as a Rule 31 Mediator.” The first program discussed complaints filed against mediators in five states with grievance processes. The second program discussed mediator impartiality.
