FORMER MU FACULTY ON PROGRAM OF ABA DISPUTE RESOLUTION CONFERENCE
The last issue of the newsletter mentioned current MU faculty, students, and LLM alumni who attended the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section conference in New York last week. In addition, several former MU faculty were prominently featured on the program. Prof. Chris Guthrie (now at Vanderbilt) was on a panel entitled, "Dispute Resolution and Decision Making: Judges, Neutrals, and Parties." Prof. Bobbi McAdoo (former director of the LL.M. Program, now at Hamline) was in the Court ADR Mini-conference on a panel entitled "The Successful Institutionalization of ADR: Hastening Justice or Just Undermining the Role of the Courts," and in a Legal Educator's Colloquium panel entitled, "The Interface Between Negotiation Theory and Mediation Practice." Prof. Joseph "Josh" Stulberg (former director of the LLM Program, now at Ohio State) was on a panel entitled "The Balance Between Process and Resolution, or Have We Tipped the Scales Too Far?"

DONNA PAVLICK RECEIVES EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AWARD
On April 28, Assistant Dean Donna Pavlick (00) received a campus Excellence in Education Award from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. This award recognizes MU educators who particularly support and value co-curricular learning. Congratulations Donna!

AFCC MISSOURI CHAPTER LUNCH AND LEARN EVENT
MAY 5, ST. LOUIS The Missouri Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts will hold a Lunch and Learn event on Wed., May 5, noon to 1:30 pm, at 121 S. Meremec, Rm. 1012, Clayton, MO. The topic is "Parenting Plans that are Sensitive to Teens." The presenters will be counselor Jeannine Lamb, M.Ed., L.P.C, MU law grad Mark Kiesewetter, and Family Court Commissioner Victoria McKee. AFCC MISSOURI CHAPTER LUNCH AND LEARN EVENT
MAY 19, KANSAS CITY The Missouri Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts will hold a Lunch and Learn event on Wed., May 19, noon to 1 pm at KCPT Conference Room, 125 East 31st Street, Kansas City. (Please park in lot on the north side of 31st Street across from building.) The topic is "Polishing Up on Best Practices." FAMILY GROUP DECISION MAKING CONFERENCE
JUNE 6-9, HARRISBURG, PA The Family Group Decision Making Conference and Skills-Building Institute will be held June 6-9 in Harrisburg, PA. The focus of the Conference is moving family group decision making from the margin into the mainstream.

CALL FOR PAPERS: MAY 31 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
DEC. 2-5, AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND The International Conference on Restorative Justice, "New Frontiers in Restorative Justice: Advancing Theory and Practice" will be held Dec. 2-5 at Massey University Albany, Auckland, New Zealand. This conference will examine the new challenges the restorative justice movement faces as it moves into its second generation. Closing date for the submission of abstracts is May 31.
