DEPENDENCY MEDIATION, OREGON JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT JUVENILE COURT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
The Oregon Judicial Department’s Juvenile Court Improvement Project seeks qualified applicants to conduct dependency mediation in Union County. Mediators receiving contracts under this announcement will join a pilot program for mediation of child abuse and neglect cases which began in October 2000. Additional contractors are sought to replace terminated contracts and provide coverage for existing contractors where conflicts of interest arise. The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children in conjunction with the New York City Family Court, seeks an experienced mediator. This position will mediate child protective proceedings at the permanency stage and beyond on referral from the New York City Family Court. The mediator will conduct the program according to policies and protocols established by The New York City Child Protection Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, and will co-mediate cases with another mediator employed by the New York City Family Court. Safe Horizon seeks a Senior Director for its mediation program. Safe Horizon is a victim assistance, advocacy, and violence prevention organization that serves approximately 300,000 New Yorkers each year, including more than 90,000 people impacted by domestic violence. The senior director has overall responsibility for the operation of a multi-faceted program in Brooklyn and Manhattan that includes a custody and visitation project, an intergenerational project, a victim-offender initiative, and community mediation services in both boroughs.
