TAL ZARANKIN AND PROF. JAMES WALL WRITE PAPER ON ISRAELI AND U.S. COMMUNITY MEDIATION
Tal G. Zarankin (’03) and Center Senior Fellow Prof. James A. Wall wrote a paper for the 2006 International Association for Conflict Management, which compares mediation in the United States and Israel. They found that Israeli mediators generally were more assertive than U.S. mediators, relying more frequently on techniques of putting the disputants together, calling for concessions, and advising the disputants on how to act in the dispute.
