Chris always knew that he wanted to go to law school, but wasn’t sure what type of law he wanted to practice. While obtaining his Masters in Taxation, he decided to focus on tax law. He chose Mizzou because of its family environment. From the admissions process to Admitted Students Day, Mizzou was welcoming and open. Chris is involved with the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), the Tax and Transactional Law Society, and the BLSA Moot Court Team. Chris hopes to practice tax law when he graduates. He would like to host economic workshops for underprivileged people to help them with financial planning.

Chris would like prospective students to know that law school will be tough and will test you in ways you have never been tested. In light of that, Chris feels that Mizzou has an excellent staff who will treat you like family, and that you can count on someone to always be there for you. “At Mizzou Law, you will never be alone.”
