Impeaching the President

February 28 @ 1:00 pm - 2:10 pm

Impeaching the President: A discussion about the U.S. Constitution’s Impeachment Clause with Michael Gerhardt, University of North Carolina Law School, and Frank Bowman, University of Missouri Law School.

Professors Gerhardt and Bowman are two of a tiny handful of genuine living experts on impeachment. They will talk about the place of impeachment in the constitution, and the prospects of impeachment in the current situation.

Professor Gerhardt’s book, “Impeachment: What Everyone Needs to Know®,” was written during the Clinton presidency.  Gerhardt was a significant academic player in the Clinton arguments. He has recently come out with a new edition of that book, and another one aimed at a more general audience.

Professor Bowman, has a first-rate book coming out this year with Cambridge University Press entitled, “High Crimes and Misdemeanors: A History of Impeachment for the Age of Trump.” He also own the blog, Impeachable Offenses.

Pizza available for attendees.
