This week at the Law School, Alumna Elizabeth Russell ’11 will be the  guest speaker for “Life   of a Lawyer” Luncheon on Monday, October 22nd in room 107 at 1:00.  Ms. Russell is a Law Clerk for Judge Campbell in Jackson County, Kansas City, MO.  Come hear what being a Law Clerk is like.  The “Life of a Lawyer” series brings attorneys to the law school to meet with students in small, informal settings.  Generally, the attorneys talk about their career path, what their day to day life is like and respond to questions from students. It is a great networking opportunity for students.  A boxed lunch is served and the number of participants is limited, so be sure to RSVP through Symplicity.

On Wednesday, October 24th, be sure to attend “The People’s Lawyer:  State Government Panel” at 1:00 in the Courtroom.  Legal counsel from various state departments will talk about their jobs and how they practice law within their agencies. The Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Mental Health, and the Department of Economic Development will all be represented.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to get started in public service with the state of Missouri.  Come check it out!   Pizza will be provided, so do let us know you will be attending by reserving a spot in Symplicity.
