For this week I will be telling you all about The National Association for Law Placement or NALP for short. When I say this resource has it all, I mean it has it all. It is one of the best resources I have come across so far. NALP’s goal is to satisfy the needs of all who are involved in the legal employment process. In order to do so, NALP has a very extensive network of employers in both the public and private sector, lawyers, students and ABA accredited schools.
What I really like about the NALP’s website is that in addition to job postings, it also has numerous resources that give tips on things such as interviewing skills and how to write cover letters and resumes. I will caution you that if you are looking for something specifically, it will take some time to navigate through the website but it is worth it. NALP is a really great resource for those who are interested in either a traditional or non-traditional legal career.
I know that everyone is getting back into the swing of things, but when you have a chance check out the NALP website (www.nalp.org) and take a look around. If you have any questions about it stop by the CDO and speak with any of the staff. Talk to you guys soon. Happy Job Hunting!
