This week at the Law School, we will have another Life of a Lawyer Luncheon with attorney William Robinson ’00, a partner with Purschke, White, Robinson & Becker, LLC in Union, MO. The luncheon is planned for Tuesday, March 5th at 1:00 p.m. in room 107. The “Life of a Lawyer” series brings attorneys to the law school to meet with students in small, informal settings. The attorneys typically talk about their path to and in the profession and respond to questions from students. It also serves as a good opportunity to network. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP through Symplicity.
On Wednesday, March 6th in room 3, students interested in an unpaid internship in public interest will have the opportunity to attend the Shortridge Loan Informational Session. The session will begin at 1:00 and will explain the application process to receive a $4,000 no interest loan this summer to gain pratical experience in the public sector. Mizzou Law announced the availability of the public service/public interest loans in the Spring of 2011. Each year, ten stucents receive the loan, which is the result of a generous gift from the Estate of Marcia Robbins Shortridge. Any first or second year Mizzou Law student can apply. The loan is also available to third year students who are completing law school in 4 years. The Informational Session will explain the application process. The due date for all applications is 11:59 p.m. on April 1, 2013.
