Hi Guys! Today I’m reviewing the Missouri Bar Foundation’s website. As always, a link can be found below. This website is jam packed with useful information for young attorneys in Missouri and those law students who aspire to practice within the state of Missouri. At the bottom of the page there is a list of upcoming events. The Missouri Bar Foundation has many events throughout the year, many of which are open to students.
For those of you who are in organizations and looking for speakers, there is also a list of resources that includes a speaker request form. The Jobs for Missouri Lawyers search is also under the resources. There are separate links within Jobs for Missouri Lawyers for full/part time employment and contract opportunities. There are several job postings within each category. I would strongly recommend that young attorneys looking to practice in Missouri start their job search here because it is updated daily and designed to match attorneys with employers hiring within Missouri. There are currently several listings of openings in firms, companies, and government. Additionally, for those interested in starting their own practice, the resources tab also includes ads for office space sharing.
The Missouri Bar Foundation can also be found on Twitter. It mostly consists of updates and reminders of networking events, job openings, and Missouri Supreme Court case summaries. The Missouri Bar Foundation also has different sub sections that put on different events that law students are generally invited to. Some of those sub sections are the Young Lawyers Section, the Labor and Employment Law Committee, and the Family Law Section. The Young Lawyers Section often tends to include law students in their events. Events held by the Missouri Bar Foundation are excellent networking opportunities.
Overall, I believe that there is a wealth of information contained in the website for the Missouri Bar Foundation, and I would encourage law students and young attorneys who are interested in practicing in Missouri to check it out. I also would strongly encourage to stay abreast on the different events that may be going on and try to attend and network.
