Good luck law students as you begin to study for finals!  We know how busy you are preparing, so this week the Career Development Office is sponsoring only two events.

On Wednesday, November 20th at 1:00 in room 6, students will have the opportunity to attend “Applying for Judicial Clerkships”.  If you are a 2L considering applying for a clerkship, this is a particularly important event to attend, however everyone is invited.  The session will provide a timeline for applying to state and federal clerkships, nuts and bolts of the application process, and information about OSCAR, the system used for applying to most federal judicial clerkships. Career Component credit will be offered and pizza will be served, so please RSVP.

1L Interviewing Workshop will also be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 1:00 in room 5.  First year law students are required to attend one interviewing event in order to participate in OCI (on-campus interviewing).  We will offer two more Interviewing Workshops in January: one focused on law firms and one geared to students interviewing with corporations.  There will also be an additional option to meet the requirement, which is scheduling a videotaped mock interview with your advisor in the Career Development Office.   There are many choices for meeting this important requirement, but the one on Wednesday will include pizza!  So please RSVP through Symplicity.
