Hello Mizzou Law!  This is the week of the annual Small Firm and Public Interest Expo.  Monday thru Thursday from noon to 2:00 pm, there will be a table down in the Fireside Lounge where you can register to attend the Expo, or you can register yourself on Symplicity – your choice!

If you have never attended a career expo, you might want to consider coming to a workshop, “Working the Expo:  Making the Most of Your Participation” on Monday, February 24th at 1:00 to 1:30 in room 4.  Learn how to present yourself to employers, how to develop a plan for the event, how to engage the employers, and how to make the most out of your connections at this short but informative workshop.  Current students who obtained jobs at the Expo last year will be at the workshop to give their advice.  Pizza will be served and career component credit offered, so please RSVP through Symplicity.

Also, on the 24th of February at 1:00 in room 107, you will have the opportunity to attend another “Life of a Lawyer” luncheon.  Join us for a discussion with Tom Mingus, ’93, a solo practitioner who practices personal injury, family law, and criminal law  in Columbia.  The “Life of a Lawyer” series brings attorneys to the law school to meet with students in small, informal settings. The attorneys typically talk about their path to and in the profession and respond to questions from students. The luncheon is also a good opportunity to network.  Attendance is limited and lunch will be provided, so an RSVP is required.  (Chipotle will be served!)

On the following Monday, March 3rd, there will be another “Life of a Lawyer” luncheon featuring Monty Platz, an Assistant Attorney General.  You won’t want to miss that, so check it out on Symplicity!

Friday, February 28th is the Small Firm and Public Interest Expo at 12:00 to 2:00.  It is a drop-in event, so come when it fits your schedule.  The tab at the top of this blog will provide a list of who will be attending.  Hope to see you there!
