This week, Mizzou Law students are invited on Wednesday, March 12th, to “Alternative Careers:  Employer Panel” to hear about  JD Advantage jobs.  Panelist for this interesting event will include:  Ashley Franz, ’10, Human Resource Specialist with Veterans United; Jim Woodward, Clerk of Court at the Thomas F. Eagleton US Courthouse in St. Louis; Scott Anders, Deputy chief US Probation Officer with the US Probation Office in St. Louis; and Michele Kennett, ’99, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Research and Director of the Institutional Review Board. A group of Mizzou students are heading to St. Louis on March 12th to meet alumnus Tom Albus, ’99,  Assistant US Attorney, at the Thomas F. Eagleton US Courthouse in St. Louis.  Students will sit in on oral arguments in front of the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, visit with judges in their chambers, talk to a panel of federal attorneys, and lunch with alumni in private practice.  Opportunities similar to this are posted with frequency on Symplicity with a limited number of spots available.  Though this particular event is closed, be sure to register for future trips and take advantage of these wonderful networking opportunities.
