This week, students are invited to meet judges and attorneys in the Kansas City area by attending the Association of Women Lawyers (AWL) Spring Judicial Reception on Thursday, April 3rd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  The reception will be held at the Webster House, 1644 Wyandotte Street and is well-attended by members of the bench and bar.  This is one of the better networking opportunities in Kansas City.  Please let Dean Key know if you plan to attend and would like a ride.

As you summer plans firm up, are you planning to participate in an unpaid public interest or public service internship?  Have you considered receiving credit for the experience? On Monday, April 7th, at 1:00 in the Courtroom, there will be the first of two mandatory externship class meetings.  The second meeting is on Monday, April 28th.  You must attend both of these class meetings even if you are not sure you want to earn externship credit this summer or have not yet arranged a placement.  Unlike other summer courses, you will NOT register for the externship course through MyZou. Instead, registration information will be provided at the first externship meeting on April 7th.  If you would like more information about the course before attending the meeting, feel free to contact anyone in the Career Development Office or access the Externship FAQ available on the Career Development TWEN page.
