This week at Mizzou Law, the Pre-Summer Externship Class, will be held on Monday, April 7th at 1:00 to 1:50 in the Courtroom. This is the first of two mandatory meetings. Students considering receiving credit for their unpaid public interest summer experience should attend.
Keep in mind future events on April 14th. Next Monday, have lunch with Mizzou Law Alumnus, H. Dwight Douglas, the General Counsel at Freeman Health System, as part of the Life of a Lawyer Program. The lunch will be held in room 107 at 1:00 and students must RSVP as their is limited seating.
Also, next Monday at 1:oo “Applying for Judicial Clerkships: 1L Version” will be held in the Courtroom. Learn about how to apply from the faculty Clerkship Committee, Career Development, and current 2Ls who have been through the process. If you have thought about beginning your career with a judicial clerkship, you may need to start working on applications over the summer, and this is a session you won’t want to miss! Third year law students who have not secured permanent employment, won’t want to miss the session “Job Search Success after Graduation”. On April 14th at 1:00 in Room 7, students will receive tips for conducting a job search while studying for the bar, and learn techniques for managing stress and frustrations. Career Component credit will offered and pizza will be served. Please RSVP through Symplicity.
