Welcome back to Mizzou Law! The Career Development Office could not be more excited to welcome all of the incoming 1L’s and see everyone else back on campus for another great year here at the law school. Over the summer, the CDO has been planning many exciting and informational programs for the upcoming school year. Make sure and stop by 103, say hello, and tell us about your summer experiences.

I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself as the new Director of Public Interest Programs. I am very excited to be here at Mizzou Law and have the opportunity to work with so many wonderful students. My door is always open, so please do not hesitate to stop in and ask any questions you may have. Remember… no question is too small or too insignificant.

If you, like so many others, are still perplexed as to what area of law you want to practice after you graduate, then you should attend Nuts and Bolts: Finding Your Niche, which will be presented by Dean Key on Wednesday, September 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. in the courtroom. Learn the importance of identifying your personal values, aptitudes and aspirations, and how to translate these into practice areas and career paths that will be rewarding. Please RSVP on Symplicity.

As you settle back into classes during this first week, remember that you can view all of the upcoming events sponsored by the Career Development Office on Symplicity. Be sure and RSVP for the events you want to attend because some of the events are limited to a small number of students, first come-first serve.

We hope everyone has a great year, and we look forward to working with you!
