Law School Renews Status as CIArb Recognised Course Provider

February 3rd, 2014

The School of Law has recently renewed its status as a Recognised Course Provider for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

Students who complete a CIArb-approved course at the University of Missouri receive an exemption from certain courses on CIArb’s educational pathway after graduation. Current students are also eligible for student members in CIArb.

The CIArb-approved courses for 2013 to 2016 are Lawyering and International Commercial Arbitration. The School of Law also had four CIArb-approved courses between 2010 and 2013 — Lawyering, International Commercial Arbitration, Arbitration and Arbitration and Labor Problems.

The University of Missouri School of Law is the only law school in the United States to offer CIArb-approved courses during the regular academic year. For more information, contact the law school’s CIArb liaison, Prof. S.I. Strong.
