Mizzou Law’s Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Team prevailed for the second year at the Midwest Regional Black Law Students Association Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial competition in Minneapolis.
Under the leadership of two returning members, 3L Melesa Johnson and 3L Brittany Leeper Chapman, with the dedication of two new members, 2L Alesha Williams and 2L Jafon Fearson, and the generous assistance of 3L Arsenio Mims, the team fought hard to earn the right to compete in the national competition to be held this March in Milwaukee.
The team thanks J. R. Hobbs and the Missouri Chapter of the American College of Trial Lawyers for its financial support. Last year’s team placed second in the nation. This year’s team hopes to bring the national championship home to Mizzou Law.
