Prof. S.I. Strong recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to co-chair a conference, “Mass and Class Claims in Arbitration.” The half-day event addressed large-scale claims in international commercial and investment arbitration and featured Carolyn Lamm, former president of the American Bar Association, as keynote speaker.
Panelists included Samuel Wordsworth, Q.C., from Essex Court Chambers (U.K.), Michae Waibel from the University of Cambridge (U.K.), Genevieve Saumier from McGill University (Canada), and Deepak Gupta of Georgetown University (U.S.). The event was jointly sponsored by the Institute for Transnational Arbitration and the American Society of International Law.
Papers from the conference will be published in the World Arbitration and Mediation Review.
