Prof. Strong Cited By Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals

Prof. S.I. Strong

The United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit cited one of Professor S.I. Strong’s articles, “Regulatory Litigation in the European Union:  Does the U.S. Class Action Have a New Analogue?,”  88 Notre Dame Law Review 899 (2012), in an opinion rendered earlier this year.   The case, Volodarskiy v. Delta Airlines, Inc., 784 F.3d 347 (7th Cir. 2015), considered whether and to what extent a regulation enacted by the European Parliament and European Council and relating to passenger compensation arising out of certain types of flight delays could support a private right of action in U.S. courts.
