Professor S.I. Strong recently attended the annual meeting of the American Society of International Law in Washington, D.C., where she moderated a panel, “Domestic Implementation of Treaties Involving Private International Law: Special Challenges.” This year’s annual meeting marked the end of Professor Strong’s tenure as co-chair of the Private International Law Interest Group, a position she has held for the last two years.
While in Washington, Professor Strong also attended a meeting of the Inter-American Juridical Committee at the Organization of American States focusing on the future of private international law in the Americas. The meeting was part of the Specialized Conferences in Private International Law, known under its Spanish acronym as the CIDIP process.
