Register Your Westlaw Password
Read through the instructions before clicking on the link. Your Westlaw password is in your packet.
- Go to http://lawschool.westlaw.com
- In the Sign On box on the left side of the screen, click on the text link that says "Register password now!" Or, at the bottom of the screen you'll see a box that says "Register password."
- Follow the online directions for registering your password (see Notes below)
- When you have completed the registration process, you will receive a confirmation page. At this point, close the window, and move on the the next task. You'll have more opportunity to explore Westlaw later.
Notes
- Once you have registered with Westlaw and created your custom username and password, you will no longer be able to log in using the activation code given to you by Westlaw. Keep track of the username and password you create!
- When registering, you can use any email address that you have. However, we recommend using your official Mizzou email address — you will be responsible for monitoring that mailbox for all official school communications.
- We recommend that you do opt-in for mailings from Westlaw. This is how you will find out about any special training sessions conducted on site by Westlaw, including Certification Classes.
- We recommend that you email your passwords to yourself so that when you attend training sessions in the next few weeks, you’ll have easy access to your password in case you have forgotten, or misplaced it.
