Hello! My name is Aaron Snipes and I came to Mizzou through an untraditional path. I am a 3L and there are several reasons why I chose Mizzou. I came to Mizzou because of the great professors, affordable education and friendly atmosphere. It was a great choice, which I have enjoyed thus far. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and received my undergraduate degree in Economics from Emory University. I then went on to get a Masters Degree in Sports Administration from Georgia State University. I worked in collegiate athletics as well as coached Men’s basketball at Oxford College of Emory University which was an amazing experience leading young men during the crucial college years.
I also came to Mizzou because I was interested in Sports Law. With Mizzou newly joining the SEC (South Eastern Conference), I knew this was a good opportunity for me here in Columbia. I was interested in sports law and real estate law. I came for a visit in March and truly appreciated the friendly faculty. They had professors who were very interested in getting to know me as potential student, which was impressive.
Also, Mizzou offered a great financial value. Columbia is a college town with cheap food and cheap living. It was a great value for the price in almost everything in Como. The people here in Columbia are always nice and easy going. It’s a great opportunity to begin your legal career.
