My name is Chase Feaster, and I am a 1L at Mizzou Law. I’m from Boca Raton, Florida, and I lived there for the first eighteen years of my life. From there, I went to the University of Alabama, and I graduated in 2018 with a degree in Computer Science. When I was an undergraduate, I had an internship at an Intellectual Property law firm during the summer of 2017, and I decided I wanted to go to law school because I had a great experience!

I found out about Mizzou Law through a law school fair at the University of Alabama around February 2018. I was interested in IP Law, and I found out Mizzou had a professor who ran the number one patent blog in the country. Since patent law and tax law are areas that I am interested in, I was excited to hear about that. Moreover, Mizzou was one of the smaller law schools that I applied to, so I decided to go here because I believed Mizzou would give me the best opportunity to succeed.

It is also worth mentioning that I did not have the time or resources to explore all of the ten law schools where I applied. In fact, I only took a tour of the law school of my undergraduate institution, The University of Alabama, because it was close. So I decided to go to Mizzou Law without having toured their law school and without even setting foot in Missouri, and I do not regret that decision one bit.
