Hello! My name is Jane Rose and I am originally from Blue Springs, MO. I graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN with a BA in Linguistics and Religious Studies in 2016.

During my final years of undergrad I started mulling over attending law school post-graduation. I was unsure what I wanted to do with my life and uncertain that I wanted to be a lawyer. However, I received great advice that ultimately persuaded me to apply. The advice was essentially that a law degree is valuable regardless if I decided to practice law. The skills created and honed during the three years of law school changes the way a person thinks, analyzes and problems solves, which can be applied to a magnitude of different fields. After I decided to apply, the next step was to find a school that was right for me.

It was very important to me that the law school had a solid community and an environment  that would set me up for success. Walking around Hulston Hall for the first time and seeing other students interact with each other showed me that this is a group of people pushing each other forward. I noticed multiple organizations and clinics that interested me, which gave me plenty of opportunities to get involved and thrive. Once my tour was over, I had decided Mizzou Law School was the place I wanted to be. I have been fortunate enough to explore over 25 countries, but I knew after my tour that there is something special about this place and the people here. There has not been a single day that I have regretted my decision to attend this school.

If you have any questions or need some advice about Mizzou Law, attending law school in general or the process of applying, please feel free to contact me and I will do everything I can to help you out!
