Hello future Mizzou Law students! My name is John McCaskill and I am currently a 2L here at Mizzou Law. I grew up in Springfield, Missouri where I was extremely active in sports. It was also the place I first developed my avid love for the Tigers. I decided to attend Rockhurst University, a small liberal-arts school located in Kansas City, Missouri. The small classes I had in undergrad transitioned nicely into the small size of Mizzou Law. In Kansas City I had the wonderful opportunity of interning for the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office. Spending time observing the various intricacies of the legal system affirmed my belief that my lifelong interest in law school was the right choice.
After taking the LSAT, I applied to various schools across the country. However, within minutes of my first law school visit to Mizzou, I knew where my heart was. Not only was the admissions staff exceptional but the entire faculty demonstrated some of the most superior hospitality I have ever encountered. Undeniably Mizzou Law uniquely blends unparalleled Midwestern hospitality with vaunted scholarship.
Mizzou Law provides an excellent, close-knit learning atmosphere with all of the accessibility and amenities of a large university. Columbia, Missouri is also a fantastic city with many opportunities not only in the legal field, but for fun and adventure as well. I would recommend Mizzou to anyone who wants the best value for educational and financial freedom. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about the admissions process. MIZ!
