Hello there! My name is Kelsey Forqueran and I am a third-year joint degree student from Malta Bend, an incredibly small town in Central Missouri. I graduated from Central Methodist University in 2015, a small liberal-arts university, where I double majored in Communication Studies and Political Science.

Having grown up in a small town where the population sign reads 250, and also having attended a small, tight-knit university for undergrad, finding a law school where I felt at home was of paramount importance. From the minute I stepped foot into Hulston, I knew I could find that at Mizzou. The faculty, staff, and students here will push you to be your best and support you through all of your endeavors.

As a joint degree student, I am lucky enough to get to spend four years in one of my favorite cities while I pursue a JD degree as well as a MA degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis with a concentration in Higher Education. I have the amazing opportunity to not only cultivate my legal knowledge, but also to pursue a degree in an another field that I am passionate about. Mizzou has several joint degree programs for interested students to choose from, many of which can be completed in four years.

Congratulations on your decision to choose law school. If you have any questions about law school, the admissions process, or what it is like to be a joint degree student, I would love to chat with you!
