My name is Lauren Hunter and I am a 2L here at Mizzou Law. I grew up just 25 miles away in Fulton, Missouri and have always been a die-hard Mizzou Tigers fan! In 2017, I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and in Political Science, as well as a minor in Legal Studies.

Law school was definitely not something I always dreamed of doing. It was not until taking Constitutional Law as an undergrad that I became captivated with the study of law and the legal profession. After my experience in the class, it did not take long for me to begin researching various law schools and making decisions about where I wanted to apply. During the law school application process, I was overwhelmed by the options and struggled to find my perfect fit. It was not until I visited Mizzou Law that I knew I had found my home.

Mizzou Law offers a collegial atmosphere that I felt was unparalleled in the other institutions I toured. In visiting, I was able to interact with students, faculty, and staff who were all eager to answer any and all of my questions. It was clear to me that at Mizzou Law, students are not only supportive of one another, but also invested in one another’s success. Knowing I wanted to practice in Missouri, Mizzou Law’s substantial alumni network in our state was yet another factor that appealed to me. I knew in choosing Mizzou Law I would be provided with a top-notch legal education as well as the support I needed to succeed after graduation, not to mention the opportunity root on the Tigers!

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns about Mizzou Law, or law school in general. I know the law school application and admissions process can be a stressful one, and I want to help in any way I can! Best of luck!
