University of Arkansas
Hey there! My name is Lo Patton and I’m a 1L at Mizzou Law. (1L means I’m a newbie!) I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. It wasn’t too long ago that I was in your shoes; taking the LSAT, applying to law schools, and trying to decide what school I wanted to attend. I browsed the websites of potential schools and researched every statistic I could get my hands on, but I still could not decide. It was a little disheartening.
Truthfully, I didn’t think I wanted to come to Mizzou. But I decided to give it a shot and take a tour…I mean, you can’t decide you don’t like something if you don’t try it, right?
After touring, I knew Mizzou was the right school for me! I was relieved and overwhelmed with excitement because I had found such an amazing place! During my tour, I was welcomed by the friendly admissions staff, sat in on a real class with 1L students who talked to me about law school, and had the chance to ask a student about her experience as she showed me around. There are common factors among all the different law schools, but what makes Mizzou unique is the friendly atmosphere that is embraced by all of the faculty and students alike.
I have no doubt that if you tour Mizzou, you will see firsthand how comfortable and personable this school is! Plus, Mizzou offers a top-notch education taught by experienced and caring professors. I would encourage you to visit to see for yourself how great this school is, and I would love to show you around!
Please e-mail me if you have any questions about Mizzou, the LSAT, applying, or the law school experience in general! I am here to help!
