Hi there! I am originally from Camdenton, MO, a small town located near the Lake of the Ozarks. I attended Drury University in Springfield, MO for undergrad, where I earned a Bachelors in Criminology in 2006. I also received a Master’s in Criminology from Missouri State University in 2009. Since graduating from Drury I have been fortunate to work at different law firms in various practice areas, including personal injury, estate planning, family law, oil and gas law and higher education. Most recently, I worked at the Office of General Counsel at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City for three years.
While I loved living in the Intermountain West region and having world class ski resorts right outside my door, my husband and I decided it was time to move closer to home. I applied to several institutions within a day’s drive of my hometown, which made the decision of where to attend very difficult, at least in the beginning. While pouring over pro/con lists, I kept coming back to Mizzou. Although I lived 1,200 miles away at the time, everything about my interactions with the admissions staff made me feel right at home. Having attended a small undergraduate institution, I hoped to find a law school where I would matter as a person and not just be another ID number and tuition check. I found this at Mizzou. Everyone I encountered seemed to genuinely care about my questions and concerns, no matter how big or small.
But enough about me! I want to congratulate you on your decision to pursue a law degree! If you are looking for a law school where you will not only receive a fantastic legal education, but also become part of an amazing family, I strongly suggest checking out Mizzou Law!
