My name is Yao Li, I’m from Daqing of Heilongjiang Province in China. It’s a long way from home here in Mizzou, but not for a single second have I felt away from home.

Mizzou Law is an awesome place for your academic advancement and personal growth. The staff in Hulston Hall are genuine and caring, they really are willing to offer a helping hand anytime you ask for it. My pleasant experience with Mizzou Law started with my tour with one of the Ambassadors, tour with her let me see what a day’s like at Hulston Hall. And since then, I made up my mind that I want to be a member of this big family. The professors and faculty of Mizzou Law are engaging and considerate, they are more than someone who parts their knowledge to you, you learn more as a being than as a student.

I got both my MA and BA in English Literature in China, this international educational background makes me nervous when I first started my law school application. Mizzou’s inclusive and welcoming culture makes the transition into law school smooth and natural. I would recommend anyone with my similar background to take a tour, get to know what the real life is like here.

If you have any questions about Mizzou law, just email me and I’d love to help.
