Property
Exams
Note that exams given in the Fall semester in the past have generally
covered estates in land, future interests, concurrent ownership, and
sometimes a portion of landlord-tenant. Exams given in the Winter
semester
have generally covered landlord-tenant, easements, covenants, and
conveyancing (and hence correspond roughly to what will be covered on
the final examination in Winter 2006). However, conveyancing
(contracts of sale,
titles,
and recording acts) is no longer covered in Property I, so issues in
those areas in examinations prior to 2003 should be disregarded
by present Property
students. Model answers are not available for these
questions. My exams usually include both an essay component
and a
multiple-choice component, but only the essay questions are available,
and possession of previously-used multiple-choice questions by a law
student is an
honor code violation.
