On July 2020, the National Academy of Arbitrators sponsored a webinar titled “What Will the Day After Tomorrow Look Like.” The program, moderated by Alan Symonette included presentations by Thomas Kochan, Joel Cutcher Gershenfeld, Martin Malin, Laura Cooper, Christopher Albertyn and John Kagel. The program focuses on the dramatic changes facing the world of work and the dispute resolution processes used by employers and employees. Among the topics discussed are the impact that changes in work arrangements prompted by changes in technology and limitations brought by the pandemic will have on the continuing viability of various dispute resolution processes, and the impact that demands brought by social justice movements like #BlackLivesMatter could have on the role of arbitration of police disciplinary cases.
