KOMU-TV published a second story on the School of Law’s new Pro Bono Estate Planning Program. This semester ten students volunteered with the program, which pairs student volunteers with those seeking legal assistance.

Student volunteers like 3L Jenna Homeyer helped Boone County residents with simple wills, health care directives or durable powers of attorney for both healthcare and finances. KOMU stated that the program received 10 times more interest than it anticipated. Although the program received hundreds of phone calls, it could only book 10 appointments. Jennifer Clark, the program coordinator, told KOMU she hopes that the law school will be able to offer the program in the spring.
